Why Become a Member of the
Gig Harbor Historic Waterfront Association?
The Gig Harbor Historic Waterfront Association (GHHWA) is
a non-profit corporation formed in 2008 by local preservationists, business
leaders, political leaders and conscientious citizens dedicated to support,
preserve, and sustain the Gig Harbor historic waterfront area. The GHHWA
bases its activities on the principles of the National
Trust Main Street Center (which is a program of the National
Trust for Historic Preservation),
and the Washington
State Main Street Program. The foundation of these programs
are to prevent deterioration of the historic, cultural, social and economic
conditions in the core of our communities. The GHHWA is committed to sponsoring
programs and activities that fulfill the following purposes; historic preservation,
community education, and lessening the burden for government. Please join us in our Mission!
