Skiffs to Spirits tour is now running through September.

The Waterfront Walking Tours are back for the 2023 summer season!

After a three year hiatus, the Downtown Waterfront Alliance, in partnership with Harbor WildWatch and the Harbor History Museum are proud to offer these beloved tours to residents and visitors once again! The season will run for 12 weeks, starting on Saturday, June 10th, and ending on Wednesday, August 30th.

There will be two tours available each week which makes 24 FREE, family-friendly tours available in 2023.

Join us on Wednesdays for the Skiffs to Spirits Tour which has been extended through September.

"Skiffs to Spirits"

The tour starts at Donkey Creek Park, ends at the Maritime Pier, and is led by Harbor WildWatch.

Experienced guides will take you on a journey along the waterfront, observing its natural beauty.

Discover the incredible diversity of life that is present and explore the natural history of Gig Harbor! Harbor WildWatch is an environmental education organization dedicated to inspiring stewardship for the Salish Sea through education.

Things you should know before you go:

1. Each tour is approximately 1.5 miles long; there is no transportation provided at the end of the tour so keep in mind you'll need to walk back and get your vehicle or make alternative arrangements. We always suggest grabbing lunch or dinner at one of the many restaurants in our downtown district!

2. The tours are completely FREE and our guides are volunteers; should you feel so inclined to make a donation to one of the non-profit organizations running the tour you are welcome to.

3. Tours run rain or shine. In case of inclement weather, we suggest bringing umbrellas, rain gear, hats, sunscreen, water bottles etc.

4. Both tours are family friendly; however keep in mind the Wednesday Skiffs to Spirits context is geared more towards adults and talks about prohibition as well as other colorful topics.
